Clear Blue Sky Productions is a company that produces innovative and artistically driven independent films, projects that perhaps a “regular” studio would not take a risk on. Naturally, they didn’t want just any holiday card. ‘The Pitch’ concept was conceived to poke fun at the Hollywood establishment, but at the same time be the embodiment of independent filmmaking. The overly optimistic character of the cartoon storyboard brims with anxious energy as if he will never stop pitching.The letterpress production is synonymous with the craft of independent filmmaking, and the cartoon narrative is intended to be evocative of film noir.
